Bairstow, Hales, Morgan take England to 481/6

Phew. Records all shattered, bowlers made to look like bowling machines. Thanks to a murderous batting performance from the English batsmen. The day wasn't far away. England outdid themselves today. In 2016, at this very ground, they put a record-score of 444 against Pakistan. Today, the Aussies were their victims. Tim Paine won the toss and put England to bat on this wicket
- which was termed as a road by Mike Atherton. The Australian captain will rue the decision for the rest of his career. And it lived up to its reputation. Roy and Bairstow came out all guns blazing from the start, feasted on some hapless Aussie bowling and shredded them to all corners. Both laid the foundation - Bairstow compiled his hundered while Roy missed out. Then it was Alex Hales and Skipper Morgan - who joined the party.
